Privacy. What magpie keeps, who sees it, and what your email is for. Private by default: no ads, no feed.
The waitlist
What happens when you leave your email.
magpie stores your email address and when you left it. Nothing else: no name, and nothing about you from anywhere else.
It’s used for one email, the day magpie opens. Nothing else, and it isn’t shared or sold.
To slow down scripts, your connection’s address is held in the server’s memory to count tries over ten minutes, and dropped after that. It’s never written to the database or stored with your email.
To be taken off the list, write to hello@getmagpie.me and it’s deleted.

Your library
Once magpie opens and you sign in.
Only you can see your library. There are no public profiles, no feed and nothing to follow.
magpie keeps what you save: the link, the post’s words, a copy of each picture and video, and what AI writes about it (a title, tags, a summary, its colours). Pictures and videos are kept in private storage, reached only through links that expire.
To describe a save, its pictures, its video (picture and sound) and its words are sent to AI models (Anthropic’s Claude, and others through OpenRouter).
magpie keeps counts of how it’s used and what its AI costs, such as how many words a search had or what kind of save was tagged. Never the words you searched for, and never your saves themselves.
AI tools you connect, such as Claude Code or Cursor, use a key you make for them. They can search, read and add to your library, and can’t delete anything. You can delete a key in Settings at any time.
